I’m a new bunny owner and I first got my bunny, I stupidly gave him the food that came with his cage at first. After doing a bunch of research to make sure I had the healthiest bunny, I found out the fun food with a mix of items was in fact bad for him(or junk food as I read a lot). I switched him over to to Oxbow alfalfa pellets for young rabbits since he is still young. I even followed the food switching method where you mix a little of the new food into the old food while gradually adding more until he is only eating the new food. This week was primarily new food and that didn’t go so well. As I was cleaning out his cage I noticed he had been hiding all his food under the newspaper. What do I do to get him to eat his food!!? All I want is a healthy bunny!!!

You could try switching to a different healthier brand? Or mix in a bit of banana into his pellets? (This would count towards his daily treat though so no more sweets that day if this worked)

Oh and for now add some of the old food back and if he’s still not eating that take him to the vet cause something might be wrong.

Like some of that at one point of the day just to make sure he has some food until you figure out what other pellets he’ll eat or if mixing banana in will help ect
