So, Winston had a wet poo quite some time ago. I have changed his diet since then, but I just realized there is poop stuck to the back of his hind leg. It is dried up and he is very scared when I try to gently dab it with a wet cloth, anything I can do to help? Also, he just recently made a wet poop for no reason and I’m wondering why. Maybe something he ate during his morning run outside? I checked the grass for bad plants and found none.

They can get a bout of poopy butt from almost any dietary change. It’s recommended to up the hay and cut out treats until the tummy is fine again. It shouldn’t take more than a week.

I think I’d leave the dried poop on his foot if trying to remove it makes him very uncomfortable. My Bam often steps in his cecals but he has learnt to tolerate my picking the dry poop out with my fingers, little by little.

Alright! I’ll do as recommended. I’m just worried about the dried poop because it’s been there for quite a long time but I’m not sure how to get it off.
