I bought two sister rabbits in April, it’s now June. I never noticed this before since I had them in a littered cage. I just got them a larger wire bottom cage with a tray under Neath and I’ve realized that my more dominant rabbit, Nugget, only person a little bit, a puddle the size of a coin. I remember times from when they were first getting used to me, I would find small wet spots on the towels I let them run around on, and once more earlier this week, she peed on me but only a little bit. I don’t know if this is just her marking territory or if she has a medical problem. Her submissive sister, Peanut, pees larger puddles which I think is more common in rabbits so I’m not worried with her.

Urine dribble could be a sign of a UTI. Does she never pee a decent-sized puddle? With a UTI you often see other signs as well, like straining to pee, increased water intake, specks of blood in the urine.

A wire bottom cage isn’t good for rabbits to live in, you should cover most of the floor with something soft like fleece blankets and only leave a toilet-space uncovered. Rabbits have delicate feet because they’re not padded. They’re only protected by the fur under their footsoles and wire wears down the fur.
