Hi everyone! I know I’ve been posting a lot, but I’ve only had my nuggets for a month, anf want to do my best with them

Bombur started grunting rather recently. He’s always been the bun with the biggest personality, so I’m not surprised. He only grunts when I pat him though. Is that bad and should I stop what I’m doing?
He’s gotten super comfortable with me lately, so now when he’s done with his binkies, I take one hand under his chest and lift him while my other hand scratches his cheek and I’ll kiss him at the same time. He never squirms, but he closes his eyes amd softly grunts. Is that his way of saying stop? He seemed like he enjoyed it, but if the grunts mean stop, stop I will.

        Thanks!

Grunts usually mean stop, and buns generally don’t like being picked up or having their feet leave the floor. However, in this case I think his little grunt is signaling that he is happy. You say he doesn’t squirm and he closes his eyes, so it seems like he is comfortable with what you are doing .

Good to know! I had only read that grunting is an aggressive behavior, but Bombur is such a big ham that I was so confused. This bun LOVES being kissed and petted. After he is done exploring he hops right over and flops, then stares at me till I pet him. I’m beginning to think he owns me instead of me owning him xD

              Update:
Now he also chatters his teeth occasionally at the same time. Good or bad?

Good thing! Teeth grinding or chattering generally means they’re content!
