So Bombur has been neutered for almost a year now and in the last few months he has developed a new habit: peeing and pooping in and on my boyfriends shoes. My boyfriend is Bombur’s favorite person. It started with Bombur leaving one or two poops next to my boyfriends shoes, and over the course of about 3 months turned into Bombur peeing on them and leaving poops inside of them. Any idea why Bombur does this? Outside of this habit, Bombur has near perfect litter habits

Are his shoes always in the same spot when Bombur pees/poops on them? If so, it makes me think that maybe the peeing/pooping has something to do with the location rather than the shoes themselves. If not, then it does seem like it has something to do with your boyfriend’s shoes. Has your boyfriend been spending less time with him than usual? Maybe it’s Bombur’s way of saying he misses him?

Nope, even when the shoes are moved Bombur will seek them out just to mark on them again. Its pretty funny, given as they arnt my shoes :p Bombur missing him would make a lot of sense, actually. Boyfriend has been working weird hours the last few days due to a few people quitting all at once. We will see if him spending more time with Bombur helps out. Thanks
