Hello again, this is a short and sweet one..

I have noticed as Slush now just lays down when I pet him occasionally, looking a bit like a sausage, mid pet he gets up and binkies… I am terribly scared he will hurt himself, or I will hurt him as he bumps my hand when he jumps. I don’t want to not pet him, especially if he is enjoying it THAT much.. but, is there a way I can reduce these risks? Or is it just a case of stopping the petting as soon as i notice movements?

On a related note, when bunnies binky, are they in control of it or is it a reflex like action? Slush seems to knock walls and such heh. He has plenty of room but there is a table he likes to sit under and if he binkies he bumps it.

(Sorry this ended up being a longer quick question than i expected)

Some bunnies do go a bit crazy with binkies and bump into walls etc. I think they just get over excited There’s not much you can do to prevent it, just enjoy the binkies

Hah! I just love that mental image, when little lops lay for pets they really do look like sausages

Thor binkies like a crazy bunny, I have a video I was taking of her binkies in slow motion, where you can see her crash straight into the wall (cue movie disaster effects). I’m sometimes concerned, but she seems totally fine and keeps bouncing. Crazy buns!

Just enjoy the binkies. I know they seem crazy but remember, a binkying bunny is a happy bunny.
