My boy is just over a year old and I finally got him neutered today. What can I expect now, behaviour wise? He wasn’t “bad” before he would grunt a lot and on occasion nip at our feet or when he got on the couch would grab our clothes lightly..but didn’t spray or become aggressive at all. I’m just curious how he may be now?

Well the grunting will die down to only when he’s un happly or angry or scared probably (Before they were probably territorial grunts) and he may or may not stop nipping as sometimes this is a sign of dominance and since he’s neutured he may not feel the need to do that anymore

But over all I’d think he’d stay about the same really by the sounds of it. He may relax more

I always thought the grunting was excitement? He did it when I let him out of the cage to run around or when I came near his cage and talked to him. He never tried biting me or anything so I always thought it was excitement?

It could be. Every rabbit is difference bit my rabbit pre spay grunted a lot then she didn’t later.

Depends on the rest of his body language I suppose!

I have heard of excited grunts but my mind went right to territorial for some reason
