Bunny was up on the window sill then suddenly ran across room and started thumping like a mad thing!! I was like “what’s that about?” So I looked out the window and there’s Foxy Loxy skulking about (I’m on the 2nd floor)! I hiss at poor foxy and he scuttles away. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen a fox out my window so I’m glad my rabbits are indoors!

        My question is

How do rabbits detect predictors? The window was closed. Did she see foxy or smell him? Does she know it’s a fox?

Don’t worry about bunny I have reassured both bunnies that foxy can’t get in here!

It’s in their instincts. Just like how cats know how to hunt mice even if their indoor cats. Probably smelt or heard it though since their smelling and hearing is their best senses

I suspect any animal would have startled her. But hard to say, most animals are born with amazing instincts.
