Okay, so I have experience bonding rabbits one on one but now I would like to bond my two newest rescues with my pair. my pair has a feisty dwarf boy and a mix dutch girl. the rescue is a dwarf male and a dutch female. All of them are spayed, all of them are younger <2 yrs, and all of them are around the same size.

First I would like to ask if this is a bad idea. I would like them to get along so that I can put them together in a giant pen however I would still like to find a loving new home to the two rescued foster bunns.

If this is a good idea, how would you go about doing this? one on one intros first? then two on one? then all four?

I’ve tried bonding two pairs without success, the two girls just would not get along. I would be concerned about bonding them into a quartet if you plan to split them again to rehome the second pair?

You cannot bond them as a quartet if you then plan on re homing two of them. That is cruel. If you’re not keeping all 4, do not bond all 4.

Ive seen other people have buns over as friends and that seemed to work for them. plus i’m not sure if i will find them a home. if i have my rescues long enough im going to foster fail.

They were lucky then. Bunny’s don’t have play dates with other rabbits. They’re either bonded or not and once bonded they shouldn’t be split.
