Hello, I just got my first bunny, I picked him up from a local animal auction, I don’t know anything about him, other than he is pretty darn cute! I think it is a male, i kinda feel as though I can see/feel testicles, I have no idea how old he is, but he is super tiny so he must be young. I plan on keeping him indoors, and will be getting him neutered next month. I have so many fears about things going badly. I have a tendency to read horror stories, and am worried about spraying and bad behavior.

He looks like he’s only 4 – 6 weeks old

So he’s way to young to be getting neutured anytime soon you should make a vet appointment and talk to them about it usually rabbits get neutured between 3 to 6 months of age depending on the buns maturity rate

Also, he’s a bit to young to be having vegtables yet as it could upset their tums at such a young age

He should have unlimited hay and rabbit pellets right now (And water!)

And at about 12 weeks (about 6 or so more weeks) you can slowly start introducing veggies, as a rule of thumb, one new veggie per day to see what might upset his stomach cause all buns are different! And rotate veggies so he gets a nice variety

I like that list it gives you a nice amount of do’s and don’ts

Congratulations on your new bun! He’s adorable and don’t forget to ask any questions about caring for him everyone here is really helpful

          And welcome to the forum!

            Welcome!

He is so adorable and very tiny, I love his stripe! Yes he looks very young to me, seems to be well under 8 weeks old.

Above is a good resource for feeding him! I also found top notch information here: http://rabbit.org/

They are suuuuper helpful for all the things you need to get started

Rabbits are the best. Most can be litter trained (this is generally easier after they have been neutered), so they don’t need to stay in their cage all day! They can be as interactive and fun as a house cat or dog. My rabbit lives free in our apartment with us and makes me laugh and every day better

Hi! He is adorable! What’s his name? I love his coloring; not sure on what his breed could be. I agree that he looks like he is still a baby.
