My rabbit unfortunately has fleas. Nothing bad but definitely a few here and there. I’ve done my research and there are two flea treatments that I’ve heard are okay to use on your bunny: Revolution and Advantage II (for kittens 2-5 pounds for both of them). I was wondering which would be better or if you have an alternative method all together.

I use Advantage for kittens as a routine precaution treatment during spring/summer. You have to be careful and pour it in a place where the bun can’t lick it off, even better if you manage to keep the bun still for 10 mins or so to give time to the med to be absorbed before he starts scratching and licking.

Depending on how bad the flea case is it might be necessary to use more doses in the course of a month, so I’d recommend anyways a visit to the vet to discuss about dosage, in case you haven’t already

I’ve used Revolution in the past. I think either is effective.

Not saying you would do this or anything, just putting this out there in case someone happens upon this thread via Google. DO NOT USE PRODUCTS CONTAINING FIPRONIL ON RABBITS. It’s toxic to them. And that concludes this Binky Bunny Public Service Announcement.

That is one thing that I did stumble upon while doing my research. You are never supposed to use Frontline on rabbits because of the ingredient Fipronil. Very deadly to bunnies

Yes, it’s very scary. We have witnessed several incidents here on BB, so we like to put the warning out there whenever there is a discussion about flea treatments. The more times it shows up in Google search results, the better!
