So my rabbit has been sleeping a lot recently, after these periods of her sleeping most of the day melting when i and my family stroke her she goes into these phases of digging. We got her a straw mat to combat this and a few old books she likes to chew along with cardboard.

But sometimes she just scratches the laminated floor next to our door into the hallway, she will scratch the floor behind the door and bite sometimes at it, we assumed it was because she wanted to go upstairs or into the next room but when we open it she will just return to the main living room where she lives and flops on the floor.

Can someone explain why she does this? is it out of fun or boredom? or is she just eternally hungry and want more treats as my rabbit always has room for kale or sugar peas..

I don’t think it’s boredom. It sounds like she just wants the door open so that she can explore what’s behind it, even if she just looks out the door instead of venturing out.
