Hello, Like many of you bunny mamas and papas out there, I use fleece at the bottom of my enclosure. I have since grown tired of spending 3 hours each week attempting to clean all of the fur off the fleece. I have tried washing, shaking, running my hands through, and using a brush to gather the fur but the work is endless! How do you guys effectively get all of the fluff out of your laundry? No matter how many times I brush my bunnies the fur “crop circles” never end.

A slightly damp rubber glove usually works pretty well for me or even a damp hand but that doesn’t work as well.

But there are probably better methods. But this one’s pretty cheap just get some rubber gloves (latex or otherwise if your allergic) and damp them in water and run your hand over the fur, easier if blanket is laid out on a flat surface

And obviously still a bit time consuming so there’s that too

I use layers. So there are two full size blankets and then I use smaller blankets that I take out as the week goes on when they get dirty. But also maybe one of those pet brushing rubber gloves might work.

I brush all the fur off. I clip my fleece down in the cage, so at the end of the week I leave it where it is and brush the fur off while it’s still held tight. I have a fur-removal brush designed for clothing that I use. One like this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/d7/f8/f9/d7f8f92df6e15cd8b76f0b0e7ca10ede.jpg

After I’ve brushed the fur off, I shake the fleece outside, and sometimes give heavy use areas a second brushing. I only use two fleece blankets a week, so it’s several weeks before I do a load of washing, but providing I brush off each fleece at the time I remove it from the cage, I don’t find that it’s too much work. Certainly not 3 hours every time I do it Maybe 15 minutes fur removal whenever I change the fleece, but I’m just guessing, I’ve never timed it
