I am utterly distrought as today i had to put my baby down.she was only 1 year and 1 month old She was the most perfect rabbit she was so sweet and gentle and so well mannered and behaved. Last night she seemed completely fine and hopped over to me as usual and today i notice she isnt coming to me shes hiding in a corner and i think she’s pretending to be moody because i slept in and hadnt fed her yet so i offer her food and she doesnt want it and sever alarm bells ring she always alway always wanted food then i try to move her and she makes no effort then i go to pick her up and theres no resistamce when she never let me pick her up and i put hee back down and she falls over snd then i know that my worst fear is happening. The vet sais she was slipping away already. I just cant believe it all happened so so quickly and my heart has been ripped from my chest

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Rabbits can go so quickly. There was nothing you could’ve done, of course. It is so sad.

This is crushing to read. Take consolation in the fact she was happy to her very last day. You made her brief time on this earth worthwhile. Much love.
