Ok. Still all new at this. Week two coming up. Carrot has now started nibbling on my clothes… I get nervous that she’s going to grab skin with the fabric and obviously clothing fabric is not good for her to eat. Any suggestions? Have tried whistling & clapping but didn’t help. I know nibbling/chewing is natural for them but just thought maybe a tip for this particular nibble. Haha. Otherwise she’s doing great!

          I would use 1 of 3 methods
          1. What else does carrot have to chew? I used to supply pinecones to bunny in the middle of her chewing something she isn’t supposed to – as a substitute.
          2. If she was doing something less than desirable and within reach I would pet her, with just a bit more enthusiasm than bunny wanted. She’d get irritated and hop away, just out of reach. (Like when I’m trying to put groceries away!)
          3. Stern tone of voice “no-no” or “Bunny.” and simply physically move bunny (like turn her 180°) if she doesn’t get the memo.

Whistling or clapping might be too scary (my bunny was terrified of hiccups) best not to give Carrolt a complex

Oh! If she does get skin do a “squeaky high pitch ouch”. In the warren if a rabbit nipped to hard and hurt another that would be the response. She’ll understand after a couple of those to be more gentle.

We’ve just been trying to move and redirect… I’m kind of too chicken to wait for her to get a true nip in there to try the high-pitch squeal!
