        Hello!

So on Thursday, Munchie will finally get spayed after I saw her fighting and chasing Muffin. They are currently seperated, but can still smell and see eachother. I’m not spaying Muffin yet, as our vet said that only Munchie was showing signs of hormones, but when the time comes, I do plan on getting her fixed.

I’m really excited, but I’m sure I’ll be worrying the whole day while I’m at school, as she’s there from 8 am to 3.30pm. Any tips on welcoming her back home? I’ll be cleaning out the cage and cleaning her litterbox while she’s out.

I’ll be keepig updates on this page

        Thanku

I had some of my first bunnies favorite treats to give to her an her favorite blanket all cleaned and ready to go

And just make sure she isn’t grooming her belly too much because she could be picking at her stitches

I’ve only had one bunny that I had to get spayed all my other bunnies have come home already fixed

So I’m not much of an expert, but I found that her favorite treats and blanket seemed to help her ease up and rest easily.

Oh and quiet stress free area because she may get stressed easier!

Good luck, I hope someone with more info posts too

I agree with Vincent – veggies/treats on hand to entice her to eat, and a blanket to help her keep warm. Definitely keep her confined to her cage for at least a few days, if not more. And just in case, it’s good to have some simethicone and critical care on hand too.

These are my suggestions, plus what the others have already said:

Hand warmers or a hot water bottle in case she gets cold -that’s common after a spay and very dangerous.

Make sure the vet clinic gives her pain meds to take home (or a prescription). She should have painmeds for 5-7 days.

Favorite leafy greens like the others have said, but also a feeding-syringe and some Critical Care in case you need to syringe feed her. It’s not uncommon for a newly spayed doe not to want to eat -but she must have food in her tummy before you go to bed for the night on her spay-day.

A water bowl, she might not want to bother with a bottle.

And don’t hesitate to ask more questions here.

                Hi everyone,
I really wish I wasn’t writing this, but munchie sadly passed away after a drug overdose (10x more than she should) at six months old. I never knew anything like this would happen, and I still can’t believe it. A lot of you have said I should sue the company, so my parents are filing a complaint, not sure about a lawsuit though. I’m absolutely broken inside

Sorry for your loss. It’s never easy, my two both over the bridge both died of old age related health problems so I cant even imagine what that must be like..

Years ago, we lost a guinea pig to post neuter complications, it still hurts. Allow yourself time to grieve.
Its rare for a spay or neuter to go wrong, but sadly, occasionally, it does happen. Its worse when its down to avoidable human error.

                        Binkie free Munchie x

                          How very sad indeed.

Oh goodness, I am so very sorry for your loss. These things are so unexpected, I can’t believe they accidentally gave so much more than they should have. If you have documentation of that then you would certainly have a case. Somebody definitely messed up their calculations.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. Binky free, Munchie.
