Those are the kind of litter boxes that I have always used, and my rabbits have been able to hop in and out with no problem.

When a rabbit gets older and might have motility issues, there are litter boxes with a low end that are easier for rabbits to use.

OK, so at 3 years old he should be fine?

He doesn’t have any problems hopping about or hopping up, does he? Unless he has some sort of motility problem, he should be fine with a cat litter box. I’ve had 9 different rabbits over the years, of different sizes and they always used cat litter boxes. There are various sizes of boxes. I’ve seen small ones that are 3 1/2 inches high. Some of the large styles can be double that height or more. Some have higher backs and sides, but slope down on one end.

OK he has no mobility problems, so cat tray it is, until I can get him a proper big rabbit tray.

Sterling has a cat box. He’s too big for a bunny box.
