  (His official Gotcha Day was Saturday but I only got around to posting about it today as I was really sick Saturday.)
  
  One year ago I brought you home from the shelter and you binkied into my heart. You were a lot less white and underweight after having been discarded outside by some terrible person. But I saw in your eyes your gentle soul and I knew you were special. And there was no need to try to bond with you. You were my buddy from the first day. Meant for each other. You will never again know fear or cruelty. I will love you forever. Hoppy Gotcha Day my big, beautiful Sterling! Or “TerTer” as me and Evi call you.

  I know, hard to believe it’s already been a year. I remember you guys helping me decide between him or the older Nethie bun. It was strange for the SPCA to only have 2 buns but I’m glad they did as I may have made a huge mistake and not picked him. Right now there are like 15 buns at the SPCA (and I want them all!!).
  
  We are both very lucky to have each other. He really is perfect for our family. I hope we have many years together!
