Hi! I just wanted to talk about how amazing it is to see a connection with a bunny. I have an 11 week old lionhead ive had her for 4 week now and finally my hardwork paid off. For 3 1/2 weeks she reacted very slowly and was not fritghtened or excited easily. She rarely left her cage and prefered to loaf around. I noticed how as a lionhead she has huge amounts of fur covering her eyes so i cut it. Now as we speak she is running under my bed, popping out running over to me and repeating several times. I didn’t think a haircut would change her attitude so radically. In a way im kind of glad it didnt work out those 3 weeks because i felt like this was just her personality and even though she was not interacting with me much or very active or fun i still wanted to give her the best life possible. It makes me realize i am willing to commit to take care of her for better or for worse. I feel super lucky to be going so uphill so fast as well i know its hard to bond with a bunny so im thankful shes really starting to trust me.
Whats some of your guys happy stories about bonding with your bunny? Please share!

That’s awesome, congrats! It took a long time to bond with Luna; about 5-8 months for her to be 100% comfortable, but it was worth the wait .

Happy to hear it is going well with the bonding!

Thor has always been pretty comfortable around humans, and accepted pets right away. However, she wouldn’t come up to me to snuggle until the last month or so. We got her in December, so she has been with us for 6-7 months. Today she licked me (once) for the first time. Life complete
