So this week I went on a hike and dislocated and broke both sides of my ankle. I am really bummed out at the fact that I cant spend time with my buns because they aren’t accessible to me with my broken ankle. I wont be able to spend time with them for at least another three weeks. My husband has taken on watching them but they only know me. Is there any time that you had to be away from your buns for a while? And how did you deal with not being with them? and also did you give them anything that smelt like you to eliminate stress? I may just be overreacting but I don’t want them to think they are abandoned or hate me.

I don’t think it will be much of a problem, but I’ve never been away for too long, only a night or two at most. You might want to have your husband bring them over to you if it’s possible? I don’t know, I wish I could help more. You might be overreacting very slightly (we all do sometimes when it comes to our little buns). And yes, I understand not wanting to be away from them.

Could you sit around where they are and talk to them? Those big old ears aren’t just for show they know your voice
The longest I’ve been away is a day and a night. I was worried about my bun. He didn’t really know I was gone and didn’t realize it was me till after I took a shower and washed the hotel smell off of me. Like wow you missed me so much. Not. XD

I’m currently away from my buns due to being in hospital. I was away for about a week and a half back in February too for hospital admission and honestly being away from them is so difficult I miss them terribly so my bf sends me pictures and videos and gives me the daily poop report lol. I have left a top of mine down for them to sniff this time. Last time I left pjs of mine for them. I was able to pop home for a short while today and the bunnies were a bit miffed that I’d left them but they came around after a few minutes  I suspect when I get back home for good, I’ll get the bunny butt for a while!

I often go on work travel, Mostly 1 week at a tome, but once it was for 5 weeks. My bf takes care of them for me. This month ill b in hospital for 3-5 days, probably 5. I plan on leaving a shirt for lancelot and guin to snuggle with. Avalon and morgana arent bonded with me, i dont think they mind when im gone. But lancelot and guin do mind. And i miss them too. Lancelot is my special needs bunny – i wish i could take him with me. I typically take him with me ,when i go out of town. Even on an airplane. But when i get back from hospital this month i wont b able to bend, sit in the floor, for a few weeks. Ill have to put lancelots cage on my dresser so i can stand and change his diaper. I am a bit apprehensive, esoecially since i dont want to take narcotics for pain…

Give him some time. Sometimes we I go away for an extended period, Guin is’t interested in me whe I get back. Within a week or two she is back to normal.
