Hi, so i have a 11 week old lionhead rabbit. Today i was giving her some pellets and petting her when i noticed how she really couldnt see past her fur. She reminded me of a polish chicken. With personal experience with these animals i thought “maybe if i trim the hair around her eyes she can see better and actually see” so i picked her up and carefully trimmed around her eyes not to short still a good half an inch from the skin. She got excited and looked EVERYWHERE she started reacting faster as well and looked at me.i walked in the room later today and she ran in every direction not sure why. However i was just making sure what you guys think. Can this be harmful? Did i hurt her? Advice of whether this is ok or not would be great.
I trimmed above her eyes and toward the back of her lower eye since her whiskers where toward the front of her eyes.
        Thanks!

I don’t have a lionhead, but I know plenty of people trim long haired rabbits safely. I think a careful trim around the eyes is OK as long as you are able to do it safely and not chance cutting her. It sounds so cute that she was excited to see

This is reminding me a while back, a member on BB posted a picture of her lionhead with a hair clip on him to hold back his bangs. Apparently he loved his accessory
