Is it normal for your bunny to let you stroke his cheeks and down his neck like you do with a cat and stroke under his chin? I noticed Olly was going to sleep while I stroked his cheek he pressed his head into my hand  and closed his eyes and at one point let me check his teeth, all toothy pegs are fine by the way, I felt down his back, he didn’t seem uptight or nervous, of course I was very very gentle and knew he could snap at any moment and that would mean stop, but he was fine with it all, does he trust me more?

Maybe Olly is a bun by day, cat by night? Luna will let me rub her cheeks, but I would get a glare and a foot flick if I tried stroking under her chin!

Some rabbits do liked to be pet on the checks. Nothing to be worried about you just have a calm and relaxed bunny

It’s not normal for most rabbit temperaments, since they’re prey animals, but if your rabbit lets you, it’s nothing to be medically concerned about. Wick enjoys being pet all over, including being pushed into a flop and petting his cheek and chin.

My bunny started letting me do it really suddenly. One day she hated being pet, and almost overnight she loved having her head and cheeks stroked. I ended up taking her to a vet for other things and it was fine. I’d say maybe the bond between you is getting stronger!

I sometimes stroke Buttercup’s cheeks, she seems okay with it. I’ve not tried under the chin tho but I’ll do it when I can and report back! I don’t think Peanut would let me stroke his face at all….

Its the same chin stroke as you do for a cat, when they stretch their neck and you rub their chin and they purr and ‘Ooh dat lubley’
