The vet just rung -pre assement done and BOTH are intersex!!!!!
He is about to open them both up and is expecting they will both have girl parts inside …
              woah!
Was already thinking How unlikely is it to get two “boys” from seperate places and one is intersex and one split penis as we have – and now the vet thinks BOTH are actually girls with outer genital issues

Okay so vet has desexed them now – all went well
Oakley is a “boy” with no scrotum and testes where up stuck and 1/3 size they should be.
Boston is a “boy” with same issue as Oakley ( no scrotum , testes stuck and 1/3 size they should be ) and he has split penis

                  Whoa.

That was WAY more then you, or anyone, could have expected.

Glad it all worked out and I hope they’re home soon.
Hopefully health stuff will be less exciting henceforth…

So glad they’re back home with you!
But how genuinely weird that they both have this condition. I’m glad they got you for an owner!

The vet was completely shocked they both ( from two different places all together !) had the same condition
He was still in shock when I went to pick my boys up lol

Seems like they were meant to be adopted brothers to me

Hopefully they think so too in 6weeks when we look at whether or not they get on haha!
So far they seem to be bar bonded – they have no issues with the other running past their cage during playtime and they don’t mind toys or blankets switched etc ( which happened by accident originally but after we saw they don’t mind we just continued it)

Sorry it was night here and I missed this. Glad everything went well and wishing your darling cuties a speedy recovery and (guarded optimism) and awesome bond.

Well, at least everyone was right in the boy vs. girl guessing game. LOL

Poor things, I hope they recover quickly. You’ll have to treat this like they were both spayed, meaning it will take longer for them to bounce back.

The great thing was that because there was no scrotum and testes were so so tiny , a small amount of abdominal pressure on each side popped te testes out without having to go in abdominally !!!
Another surprise of the day – but a great one!!
That combined with the fact they both love their metacam and take it so easily straight from the syringe without hassle they are both acting almost recovered now

Is Intersex similar or the same as Hermaphrodite? But where one lot of downstairs organs work and the other doesn’t? Like snails, but one part does not work?I’m just a bit confused, hope they are doing well
