I have a eight year old Mini Rex cross who has been struggling with sore hocks for about a year. On recommendation from my vet, I’ve tried clorihexidine soaks, wrapping, changing his litter, and Neosporin. He had a large cage, and I use fleece cage liners and potty pads to line the bottom, and he also has a cat bed and a memory foam bath mat in his area. He is still active and eats well, but the problem with his hocks persists. I am considering investing in the rubber puzzle mats that are meant for use in gyms. Has anyone found these to be helpful in treating sore hocks? Were they worth the investment?

I don’t know about those, but I know a lot of people use memory foam bath mats.
