Forum BEHAVIOR Really pungent alfalfa

        I just bought some alfalfa hay and it has a really, strong humid smell. I’ve had bags from this shelter before by this seems really weird bandit eats it just fine but sometimes he throws large chunks out of litterbox I assume something’s wrong with that chunk and I toss it but he’s been doing that with just this bag more specifically.

          check for mold!!! is there anything weird in the bag? is the hay wet? is it discolored?

            Nothing strange. It was really fresh like brand new. It’s calmed down now but I think maybe it was because it had that fresh grass cut smell.
