I have had my bunny for a good 3 years coming up on May 24th, and tell me how he still does not trust me. I don’t know, maybe he just isn’t the social type of bunny. Like sometimes he will let me pet him but other times he will just run away from me. When I give him treats he will just rob it and run. The thing is, he won’t come to me. I go to him. Idk can someone please help.

Join the club… i have a pair for 3-4 years now and i can only pet them for a short time in the mornings. It can take time, and each bunny is different. I still love mine, but they r not bonded with me. My other 2 bunnies r very cuddly with me.

Glad I am not the only one. I feel like everybody in the rabbit community is so cuddly and close with their rabbits but me.

Hannasue it’s worrisome that your bunny won’t go outside its cage. how long have you had her? what kind of situation did she come from? is she sick?

Does your bunny lay down when you are around? Does he flop? does he close his eyes? Does he binky?

If so, he trusts you. He just doesn’t like to be coddled as much

Sillybun, it sounds like your bun is being a bun =)

Bunnies like to cuddle – when THEY like to cuddle. They choose the appropriate time and place. They take their treats and run away with it to eat it were there are no competitors.

My bunny Bam comes to me for pets and treats, but only when it pleases him.

We bun owners often jokingly refer to ourselves as “bunny slaves”. It’s not a total joke, though. It actually says quite a lot about the relationship between the rabbit and its hoomin.

So I guess he does trust me.
