  Furgie is constantly chewing her choroplast. I don’t think she’s eating it because the shreds are on the ground, but what can I do? Is there a certain kind of wood I could line the cage with? If I get tiles, what would be the best way to adhere them?

  Hi! I’m not too familiar with coroplast, but I quickly looked it up. It is made of plastic, correct? If so, you should definitely stop her from ingesting it! I’m not sure how high up the coroplast goes on the walls, but I have lined my baseboards with normal 2x4s you buy at the hardware store, as well as stick on plastic corner guards for the edges. For wood, I believe most normal kinds you will find are ok as long as they are dried (pine or other hardwoods) it is bunny safe, since all the phenols have evaporated away. Stay away from cedar and other aromatic woods. Some also use plywood to line walls/floor when you don’t want too much bunny damage.
  
  I’m interested in what her setup looks like if she is chewing that much plastic? Does she seem bored? More out of cage time may help with chewing, although some buns are just destructive no matter what

  My rabbit does this with carpet, he pulls it out but does not eat it and leaves a nice pile on the floor. maybe consider putting some 2×4’s or 2×3’s on the borders to promote healthy chewing?

  Guinea Pig Cages store sells coroplast edge guards that slip over the exposed edging to prevent chewing and sharp sides. I have used them successfully in areas where my guy was chewing. You may be able to get them from a home improvement store that already sells coroplast sheets but I got them through GPC because I was already purchasing a cage kit with them.
  
  The edging guards are REALLY tight and can be difficult to put on if you don’t have an open end to slide it on. If so, I work a closed set of pliers into the edging piece and open them repeatedly along the entire length to stretch out the plastic a little so they will slip over the coroplast edges easier.
