Last year I started this topic: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/145060/Default.aspx

Just thought I’d give an update.

Turns out my little Netherlands Dwarf was actually a male!

I’ve never desexed him as he has always been very calm and never marked with his urine.

Due to my being home less these days, I decided to get him a brother.

I adopted a desexed male mini lop, who has turned out to be equally calm and a non marker.

So far, they’ve gotten along swell. Apart from my neth dwarf humping him a fair bit in the first 24 hrs, their first 3 weeks together have been great. They never fight and spend most of their time side by side as they free roam my apartment

Lunar and Orbit are adorable . I know you said they are getting along, and that’s great, but Lunar really should be neutered if he is to be kept with Orbit. Even with him being normally calm, the presence of his hormones will cause an injurious fight at some point. It would be a good idea to cease physical contact between them until he is neutered.

They are very cute! I definitely agree that Lunar should also be neutered. Otherwise, you may soon deal with a lot of problems and injuries. They should be keep apart now and you can start permanent bonding with them a month or so after the surgery.

Appreciate the kind words and advice. You both are probably right, I should get him de sexed.

And when you do remember that there is a few days-weeks that his hormones will amp up for a good while

                  Cheers, I’ve read about that.

Appointment for his desexing is booked. They haven’t enjoyed their time apart, really miss each other!
