        Hey everyone

It’s been a while since ive been around, work plus adding a bun has greatly limited my online time.

Anyways Mochi was neutered earlier this week and is doing great. We have been slowly working on bonding him and Amelia prior to surgery. They have their cages next to each other, they groom through the cage and are typically flopped out touching each other. We have also let them meet face to face and all they do is groom or cuddle. This week Mochi has chosen to hop out of his cage and join amelia in my lap when they are having face to face time. Late next week I’m planning to start bath tub dates, but i am honestly expecting them to bond quickly based on how they are currently behaving with one another.

So my question is actually about their home together. Each bun currently has their own cage that is a home base and then they have either free run or are in an xpen. My plan is to start with the Xpen as home base and then to possibly build them a cube condo. However as free range buns most of the time they really only spend their nights confined. What all should i polan to have in their Xpen, do i need to keep one of their cages in there? I’m figuring that we will start with at least 2 littler boxs, 2 hay racks, 2 food dishes and 2 water bottles. I just need a bit our guidance please

Can’t offer help on the other questions, but I can say to wait until his hormones are completely out of the way before progressing with the bonding. Should take about a month to have him completely flushed out
