My bunny’s been acting really strange tonight. Usually he’s really active during the night and happily jumps out of his cage all the time. But tonight he didn’t want to come out. He keeps trying to lye down but keeps getting up too like he can’t get comfy. I haven’t seen if he’s pooping normally but he’s peeing a little bit quite often. I can also heat his stomach gurgle every time he gets up from a lying down position. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it alarming?

It sounds like he has gas pain. Shifting position and the gurgling sound from his tum are signs of gas. The gas needs to get out. Try to encourage him to move around. You can also give baby gas drops (simethicone), about 0.5 -1 ml. It often works within 20-30 minutes.

Change the litter box so you can check if he’s pooping. If not, go to a vet ASAP. I have just recently dealt with stasis in my Buttercup and it started with her shufting/looking uncomfortable

Is he eating normally? Agree with others that it sounds like gas pain. Simethicone is definitely a good option as Bam says if you think you would be able to syringe feed. If he is feeding normally perhaps you could hide the dose in a lettuce leaf or something like that. If he’s not eating or pooping I would recommend an urgent vet visit.
