Hi everyone! When I give my buns vegetables, I’ve noticed one of my bunnies will often pick a mouthful and hop away, flicking his feet very prominently. He seems to enjoy the veg as he always comes back for more, but I was curious to know why he flicks his feet while he hops away; is he telling me: these are my veggies, stay away, leave me alone? My other bun has never done it – until tonight!

I think you’re right that he’s saying “Mine!”. But it might be directed at your other bun instead of you . Does your other bun ever try to steal his veggies?

My bunnies do this as well! I think it’s probably their way of making sure the other bun won’t steal it. If they start getting into fights though I suggest feeding their veggies separately.

Oh how interesting! No, Chewie never does, in fact, it’s the Woolly who always steals her food, so it’s hilarious that he gets overprotective over his veg when she never takes it from him   She never seems to mind when he takes her veg of her though (which surprised me, as she’s the dominant bun in their relationship). Luckily there’s never been a fight over veg (Chewie is super chilled when it comes to the vegetables).
