        Hello!
So about 3 weeks ago I rescued a dwarf lop as company for my nethie- they were bonded by the rescue centre and all was good when they’d got home. Haven’t had any issues with them until today when I sprayed them both with anti fly spray- it is specifically for rabbits I’m not just using any old anti fly- and since that they’ve been at each other on and off- not just chasing we’re talking like a ball of fur rolling around the cage- there’s chunks of fur everywhere. I assumed it was because of the smell so I washed them down a bit to try get rid of it in the tub which has calmed them down a bit but every now and then they’ll get all defensive again. The submissive dwarf has also started stealing food from my Nethie. At the moment I’ve limited their hutch to one tier to try to keep them together but I’m just wondering what steps to do if the fighting picks up again- id really prefer not to have to separate them but when is it too much to keep them together?

“Ball of fur rolling around the cage……chunks of fur everywhere” – that is a full on fight and they need to be separated.

They need to be split for atleast 2+ months in completely different rooms. They see one another as threats now and are holding grudges. You need to keep them completely split so they forget one another, and then you can start bonding again
