My bun was neutered this time last month. Ever since the operation, he’s been running away from me, acts scared, and doesn’t want to be petted at all anymore. I feel like I’m just a stranger 🙁

I’m aware of hormones being weird for about 2 months, but at this rate it doesn’t feel like its getting any better!! I’ve been feeding him pellets by hand since that’s the only way for him to come near me. Has anyone else had similar experiences with their buns and is willingly to share so that i’m not completely hopeless? 🙁

Another behavior that came out of the surgery is his digging. He’s digging like mad! I feel like this operation did more bad than good :-/

The surgery was needed, its ok It sounds more like going to the vet scared him more so than the surgery. A lot of bunnies absolutely hate going to the vets because of all of the new smells and noisy animals around. He might think when you reach for him that you are reaching for him to take him back

Try rebonding with him. Let him come around you without reaching for him. Continue hand feeding him the way you are. Digging is a common bunny action. Consider making a diggy box for him

When we got our rabbit spayed she wanted nothing to do with us for around 2 – 3 weeks. Every time we went near she would bolt. I was devastated. But we got lucky as she was still BFFs with our dog, mutual friend helped speed up the re bond I suppose.
