So lately my bun Kaleigh has been doing this thing when I’m on the floor where she will run all around the room. She will binky about and what not. She will then run really fast and get very close to my face and stop, or bounce right next to my face then continue running about. It doesn’t seem agressive but I am a newbie rabbit parent so I am just curious if this is normal or good or bad. If I’m doing something to upset her I want to make sure I can adjust. Also as a side question, she also makes this cute little grunting almost a soft sniffing type sound, is this okay?? Any help is appreciated ?

She wants to play with you, try roughing her fur a bit or petting her, bandit does this and I follow him a bit and he likes to be chased a bit.

Okay, I will definitely try to ruffle her and play along side her ? This is great to hear. I’m so happy she is getting comfortable enough to play with me.

Any experiences with the sniffing sound? It’s almost like a squeaking but not, and it’s really quiet. But she makes it like all the time when she is doing stuff or sniffing something. Is this just her talking?

My bunny softly grunts when he runs or does anything, kind of like a honking noise, and he has been to see the vet. They said that he was perfectly healthy and fine Hope this helps!

My bunny huffs to get my attention sometimes it’s vary rare though and if he’s excited his breathing, chewing, and digging (in sandbox) gets alot more agressive and loud but it’s all for fun

Sorry to keep an old thread alive but I have a concern relating to the same situation. Kahleigh today is doing her same playing but she has now taken to peeing very close to me or on me. But it’s while she’s running her laps. But it always seems to be either on me or right next to or behind me. Any similar behaviors?? Is there any way to kick this habit before being spayed?

Is she spayed? It kind of sounds like an over excited mating dance, possibly. The pee is to claim you as hers

Ahhhh ? She’s not spayed yet she is much too young, she has at least probably about 5-6 months longer. Well lovely. Ha! I was suspecting that it had something to do with claiming me (she’s not the only bun in the house) so it’s at least good to get a confirmation.

Bunnies can be spayed around six months old

Even a flemish giant?? If 6 months is okay that would be great, I’ve had a few people tell me 5 months and others have told me 9 months to a year ?

For any rabbit spays/neuters can be done six months or older as long as you have a rabbit certified vet
