  So, we got my bunny Chino a playmate today, Clia. Clia is 8 weeks old and Chino about 2 yo now. When we picked up Clia from the breeder he told us to put them in a cage together outside. Clia seemed to still smell like her mother, so Chino started going up to her carefully and then randomly snap and proceed to nip her! After that I put the two apart. I later put their cages together so they touched, Chino still nipped her… The breeder told us that he might react like that BC she might still smell like her mother. I honestly don’t know how to go on with the bonding since I’m hearing a lot of mixed opinions. Help would be appreciated!!!

  Unspayed and unneutered rabbits cannot bond. An unfixed rabbit cannot bond to a fixed rabbit. Baby bunnies cannot bond. There are very few exceptions, and your buns are telling you that they are one of the few exceptions. They will fight if put together before both being fixed and have gone through bonding sessions
  
  He will continue to bite and nip, or even attack, as long as he can reach her until she is spayed around six months old. Until then, keep them close, but not close enough that they can reach one another. A month after she is spayed, you can start bonding sessions

  Ok, after she has been spayed should I start with pre-bonding right away or should I wait another week?

  You can even start prebonding now. Prebonding would be swapping their litter boxes, toys, water and food bowls, ect. Keeping cages close but not close enough to reach is also prebonding You can start actual bonding sessions (putting them in a small neutral space for a few minutes every hours until they dont fight, then increase time, ect; look at other posts on this forum for bonding ideas) two months after your girl is spayed
