I noticed maybe a week ago when my bun would walk along the hardwood, a thump sound was happening. I chalked it up to how he was slapping his rear feet.

Today, he flops near me and I see a golf ball sized clump of fur/poop and what looks like blood on his paw

He is behaving normally. Diet is the same:
A.M. – Romaine, tablespoon pellets, orchard grass, and strawberry tops (if I cut it up for my kids), sprinkle of oats

        P.M – Basically the same

If I’m cooking, I throw in occasional Basil stems, parsley stems, etc. This would be midday.

Of course I notice this at the end of business hours so I can’t get appointment until tomorrow afternoon. I could take him to the ER but he’s acting fine. My husband thinks we should wait.

Thoughts? He had a UTI last year which led to scalding. He had dreadlock butt but not a ball sized poop clump.

I’d cut out the oats for now. If he has any formed; “normal” poop at all besides this huge clump, it doesn’t sound like a veterinary emergency since he’s acting normal, rather sth for a scheduled appointment.

My Bam has a sensitive tummy and can get big clumps of poop if he gets even the slightest bit too rich food.

Here’s a good article about ISC, intermittent soft cecotropes, which is the term for this:
          http://rabbit.org/intermittent-soft-cecotropes-in-rabbits/

The article is partly about differentiating ISC from true diarrhea, but it doesn’t sound like this is true diarrhea at all, so you can jut skim over that bit. True diarrhea is mostly seen in very young rabbits (babies), and the bun gets very weak very quickly.
