        Hi guys!

I was wondering what are the symptoms of a bunny that feels lonely. Tambor is an only bunny and, although he looks perfectly happy and he gets tons of attention (I work from home), I want to know the possible symptoms just in case.

How did you guys know it was time to get your bunny a companion?

I’m not sure, since Luna is a solo bun too, though she does have Oreo Cat as an animal companion. I imagine the signs of loneliness for buns are similar to depression in other animals/humans: lethargy, lack of appetite, disinterest in things that your bun is usually interested in, decreased grooming habits.

            Hi Luna!

Thank you! Tambor was like this when he was on antibiotics, I guess that being under the weather also affects mood. Do Luna and Oreo play together? I’ve seen many cute videos of bunnies grooming cats <3.

A lot of people tell me that we should get Tambor a companion, but I think he looks happy, and is definitely energetic and responsive! I guess that the fact that he is all the time with my husband (his office is Tambor’s room) and that he adores him helps. Also, before he came to live with us he was also an only bun, so he was “alone” from the very beginning.

            Hugs!

Oreo was quite interested in Luna when they first met, but not really anymore. They will play with each other once in a great while, but only for about 1 minute. I think it’s because Oreo is 12 years old, and also her mood can be temperamental. So pretty much their relationship is characterized as indifference. But I do think they enjoy each other’s company while I’m at work. Luna’s cage is in my bedroom, and Oreo naps in the bedroom while I’m gone. Also, at bedtime Luna chooses to sleep right next to Oreo’s bed most of the time .
