If started litter training my 7 1/2 week old rabbit he is doing pretty well. I’ve been picking his poop up and putting it in the box and then soaking up the pee with a towel and putting it in his litter box. But some people have told me to pick him up and put him in his litter box when he pees or poops. Is this what I should do? I can’t really pick him up yet because he is still not ok with being picked up. (I just got him so that is to be expected)

I did both with Wick. Wick doesn’t mind being picked up, so that made it easier. I think the moving really helps with training. Try your best and keep doing what you’re doing. Remember to cleanup messes as soon as possible.

If Shadow uses the litter box overpraise him with pets or a pleasant “good boy!”. Avoid treats, or he may associate pooping with getting treats, haha.

Cleo is doing great with the pee….I try to keep the litter box wherever he is. But…..he poops constantly!! Like literally as he’s walking. There is no warning either. I’ve seen people say that they lift their tail first so when u see that then put them in the litter box……he doesn’t do that! It’s almost like he has no control….so much poop!! Lol
I would love some help as well

I’ve never seen my bunnies lift their tails before pooping,  they only lift before peeing. If they’re young, they will poop. Everywhere. They are poop machines!

The same with my buns. They are almost 4 month and poop everywhere no matter inside cage or outside…
