        I want to get/make a medical kit for my rabbit in case of an emergency since I’m not close to a exotic vet. I was wondering the main things I need in a medical kit and why I need them.

                  Given that my bun is a dental one and is prone to pododermatitis, this is the basic survival kit that travels with him when we’re far from the vet:

                  Feet:
                  – sterile gauzes;
                  – neem ointment (Hypermix);

                  GI tract problems:
                  – gas drops for babies (symethicone);
                  – antiflammatory (meloxicam);
                  – meds for intestinal movement and pain control;
                  – 1ml syringes;

                  Dental problems:
                  – pain control meds;
                  – antibiotics (baytril, spiroxan);
                  – 1ml syringes;

                  General care:
                  – nail cutter;
                  – clorexidine 1%;
                  – gauzes;
                  – brushes;

                  Btw do NOT add any medicine to your kit without first asking to your vet for the correct dosage/concentration!

                        All I have is simethicone. I figure if any happens that requires treatment, my bunnies would be rushed to the emergency vet anyway which is only 15 minutes away.
