My bunny is very young and I just got him. But his nails are very sharp and I don’t want to cut them yet. Is there a way he can wear down his nails or is there a good toy that helps?

I think people make dig boxes or provide cardboard flooring for rabbits to dig at? It’s a bit worthless if Shadow isn’t a digger though. I suggest talking to your vet and perhaps he/she could show you a good way of going about it.

Also, if you’re noticing this while carrying Shadow, it may be he’s just angling his nails outward in discomfort or instability. If I have a bad grip on Wick, I notice his back and front claws seem sharp, but when he’s relaxed in my arms, they feel fine.

I’ll try a digging box cause he does sometimes like to did in the bedding of his cage. I mostly notice it when he crawls up on top of me or when he’s being crazy and running over me.

When they’re climbing, their nails are definitively more prevalent because they’re hanging on. It could be exacerbating how sharp they feel.
