I was petting my rabbit today and he did somthing strange and I don’t know what it means. He put his head up like he was reaching for somthing but he wasn’t he just stayed there. He’s done it once before to. Most of the time he just keeps his head straight. What does it mean when he put his head up?

I hope I’m explaining this ok. Comment if you don’t understand and I’ll try to explain better.

Sounds to me like he is happy to see you. Mine do this when I come in the room. If I am understanding your description right. He is probably just enjoying being pet by you. Does he kind of stand up like a meerkat? That’s what mine remind me of when they do this

My bunny does this took. I read that they do that to get a better “survey the land” or they do it to show curiosity. I think it’s super cute when my bun does it.

Maybe he like it rough? I know i pet my bunny pretty firmly and he always tooth grinds when i scratch him on his head and stroke him with good pressure.
