So Boston had mites from where he was whichever have transferred to Oakley – vet did a “one off” revolution treatment and I washed all bedding and toys etc etc
I read I should repeat in 4 weeks so I rung to ask vet and he said no not needed ( we are behind in rabbit care knowledge here though so think I’ll do it anyway )
        My question is about amount.
He did a puppy and kitten up to 2.5kg each on my boys
        They are 1kg each
Should I just do half a tube on each??? Or do I need the full one ?
And how often do you do it as a preventor?
I have low immunity so I would prefer to prevent the mites and fleas etc incase I get effects humans usually wouldn’t

I’m afraid I can’t help you with dosage, however I have also read that it needs to be given twice one month apart to cover the full length of their life cycle.

Have you also cleaned their environment?

Yep it’s all been hot washed – plastic cage , toys , ceramic bowls etc – new blankets ( third time doing this in 6 weeks as twice was bleaching for EC during treatment )

I’ve found the online calculation for revolution but it’s so confusing !!!
Oakley is only 1.03 kg and Boston only 970grams so I would think half a puppy/ kitten tube would be enough as they are for up to 2.5kgs …. but vet did a full one each …

Revolution is bunny safe, so you can give the full dose to the buns. But if you feel confident dividing the dose, one will be enough for both. People with many rabbits often divide a bigger tube among their buns.

1 dose for a kitten up to 2,5 kg (5 pounds) contains 15 mg of a 60 mg/ml strenght preparation. The minimum effective dose per kg is 6 mg. I got this from several different websites so I think it’s correct. Here are 2 of those in case you want to read: https://www.medi-vet.com/Revolution-For-Puppies-Kittens-Up-To-5-lbs-p/10437.htm

The general recommendation for repeat preventative treatment seems to be 1 month.
