        Hello!

I have had a wonderful bunny named Oreo for about five months now, and she has always been very active and playful. And while my other rabbit likes to be pet and cuddled, Oreo usually will run out from under your hands if you pet her for too long. However, the past couple of weeks, she will let me pet her, cuddle her, kiss her, etc for extended periods of time. She even will jump up on my bed (as she always has) but will now lay with me while i pet her. I would think that our bond is becoming stronger, but I’m worried that it seems out of character for her. She’s still eating and pooping and playing just the same, but this was really a sudden change in behavior, like overnight.

These are my first rabbits so I’m still learning.

        Thank you!

It could have taken a bit of time for Oreo to warm up to you and be comfortable. If you’re worried, nothing wrong with a vet visit. Wick licks me a lot more when he’s feeling gassy and needs a belly massage.

Thanks for the reply! I definitely like the thought of her just warming up to me more, although I had kind of accepted that she was just a bunny who really liked her personal space.

While I’m happy Wick loves attention, I kind of envy rabbits who like their personal space…. Wick follows you everywhere and pees if you aren’t paying attention to him, haha. It’s nice that Oreo is now comfortable with both!!

It does just sound like she is more comfortable and thus loving towards you My Peanut is nowhere near as affectionate as your Oreo but he has become more affectionate over the last couple of weeks.
