We have a dwarf lop called poppy, she is 3-4 months old. We haven’t had her long but her mood has changed dramatically recently. She has a large cage that she is able to hop around and stand up in and we bought two large play pens that join up and has access to her cage. We introduced ourselves gradually but she quickly became friendly with us, sitting on our lap for short period of time, eating from out hands and flopping down next to us. The last few days she has become very sheepish to the point of being scared. We can’t think what’s happened, we tried her play pen in a few different setups to see if she preferred it. Then we got rid of it completely and just bunny proof the living room so she had more space. Now she just hops about by herself and lies down near her change if we stand up she runs and hides.

Is this common? She keep cleaning her self and shaking her head I had a look in her ears but down see any inflammation or blockage.

So confused and don’t know what to do.

Has she been fixed? Have you changed your lotion or perfume? Rabbits recognize people by their smell and their shape. You might have to try bonding all over as sometimes you might have done something to annoy her. Does she sit or loaf butt facing You? This is a sign that shes offended or thinks your scum of the earth. Try reading the article in bunny language and body positioning at the top or around the net
