  I have a bonded pair of netherland dwarfs and wants to add a new bunny friend. My current pair is a fixed male and female. They are inseperable and very much in love. I want to take in a new bumny friend which I tried for an example put a new baby female bunny in the cage with them to see how it would go. The male bunny got very dominant and would not stop humping the both of them. He is fixed and hardly ever humps his mate. Maybe once a month if that. He would not stop humpong even after the new bunny friend left. He kept humping his mate for like 6 hours. If I wanted to add a new friend in the large pen with them would he ever calm down? My female rabbit loved the new bunny she was kissing her face. But the male was a rapist! Any thoughts… would he calm down? I was looking at the stress bonding I am sad because the new bunny wad so adorable! Help.

  Adding a new rabbit into a bonded pair has a chance of splitting the pair up (what you are seeing, with your male humping constantly now). Adding a new rabbit into a territorial space and not a neutral space has an even higher chance to ruin a pair.

  Okay firstly, your male is not a rapist Secondly, have you read anything about bonding? You can’t form a proper bond with a baby for a start because when hormones kick in, everything changes. And you should never just put a new bun in your current bun’s environment. Please read up about bunny bonding, it can be overwhelming but it is crucial.
  
  You don’t need to stress bond. You need to get your new girl spayed, wait a month or so and then bond properly but you risk breaking up your current pair.
