My male rabbit(neutered) had to be separated from my female a few months ago do to the fact that he caused her severe distress by trying to hump her constantly. I can’t even let them out at the same time because he is on her in 3 seconds flat. Since they’ve been seperated he seems lethargic and depressed. I give him toys, let him out everyday, give him lots of attention- but he seems severely depressed and even seems to avoid me now. Has anyone else dealt with this? What can I do to help him be happy? I have another young male I tried putting in his cage but he tries humping him too. Do you think once the other male is older this behavior will stop and he can have a cage companion? I feel at a total loss of what yo do. He’s obviously lonely, but I cant have my other bunnies constantly running from him either.
