        Hi everyone!

I’m new to this forum, and this is my first post – today when cuddling our very friendly Netherland Dwarf bunny (about 10 months old), he did a little binky/jump, and it seemed that some sort of small, pink worm fell out of his anus onto the sofa. It seems to look slightly like an earthworm, but part of it is a bit curled and crinkly. I believe it could be tapeworm, but it looks too much like a regular worm – so we’re not sure what it is. I’ll attach  a picture soon: but is there anything that you guys know about a 7cm long worms that are outside of a bun’s body? Also, there was only one – and it wasn’t in his droppings.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Yes, any sort of worms or grubs like this requires an immediate vet visit. It could be something that was internal, or it could be something from the outside like maggots or similar.

If you still have it, keep the worm in a plastic bag and take it with you to the vet.
