        Hello everyone,

I am new here and I need your help. My Bunny Floki is sick. I Don’t know what happened, I was out of town for few days only and I left her to my sister. When I came back home to check on her, she had this abscess thing on her cheek/lip. That happened so fastly, it grew in few days  (Also, I Am sorry for my poor English, I Hope you will understand me)

Floki is eating and pooping, drinking water, but abscess seems to grow bigger. She is usually out of cage, she only eats, drinks and poops in there, but now I Am kind of scared to let her out.

I Am taking her to Vet tomorrow, I Hope she will be fine..

Maybe anyone knows why this happened? How to prevent it ?

From the front, it looks like some kind of growth like a papilloma.

Glad that you have a vet appointment scheduled already. Sorry, but I don’t know what’s wrong with Floki. Hopefully the vet will have some answers for you. I’m happy to hear that she’s still eating/pooping properly, that’s always a good health indicator with rabbits. Get well soon little one!

In that first picture – it looks different than the other pictures — Does it open up – is something coming out of it? While the other pics looks like it could be some sort of growth or abscess, the first picture looks it is open and something is coming out of it. If so, could be a botfly. This is something that will need to be taken care of asap so I am glad you are seeing the vet asap.  If it is something like a botfly, don’t try to remove it yourself. That can cause infection/abscess or other serious issues.   The vet will be able to remove it.
Let us know what the vet says.

              Helloworld!!
