        Hey guys,

I am just wondering if anyone has any tips for how to play with a rabbit as well as good bonding methods, other than just cuddling.

        Thanks!

If it’s a lone bun socialize as much as possible. Make toys like boxes and hide areas maybe a planet fort. Offer treats to encourage social behavior. There’s lots of ways to bond with your bunny but the biggest is be on their level and learn your bunnies habits.

For bonding, the best thing to do is get down on their level. Lie down on the floor, and put some pellets or a yummy treat on your stomach or back (depending which way you are laying) so that your bunny has to crawl onto you to get the treat. You can also just sit there and read a book, or fiddle with something. Rabbits are innately curious and given a shy rabbit is ignored, will eventually come over to investigate. If you don’t try to reach out and pet your rabbit every time he or she comes over, they will eventually gain confidence.

Playing can be done in many ways, sometimes repeatedly placing a toy in front of them for them to toss. You can also do trick training as a way to bond or play. Train them to stand up on their hind legs, or spin in a circle.
