My local pet stores don’t have a large variety of bunny toys and all the toys on Amazon are add on items ( to cheap alone to pay for shipping, you can only get them if you spen $50 or more) so where do you guys get toys for your buns at a good price?

I think in general, the best toys are the home-made ones because they’re cheap, recyclable, and you can use things you’d ordinarily recycle anyways. You can also cater it what your buns find enjoyable. Wick really likes climbing and jumping, so I set some boxes up for him and make it a treat-incentive task to climb up and down it.

To make pellet feeding more interesting, I cut two paper towel tubes into 4 tubes, all of varying heights, and cut all long the top and smooshed it so it looks like an upside-down straw fringe hat. I pour the pellets into each of these so Wick has to throw them out of the way to get to food, haha.

BB user BanditCamp (hopefully he reads this!) has a lot of great home-made toys for his bun, Bandit. He uploads all his photos to a one-drive link, so you can check it out and see what may entice your buns.

In addition to paper tubes, you can use boxes from shipping, shoes, packaging, etc.! If your buns are chewers, just be wary of any dyes that may be on the materials you use.

          Happy crafting!

In addition to those already mentioned, you can also go to op shops (second hand shops) to the kids/baby section and pick up some cheap plastic baby toys (plastic keys, stacking cups etc) they make great toss toys and my buns love unstacking the cups (I wouldn’t buy second hand pet toys however if they were there due to risk of disease etc).

Have you tried looking into online shops for other animals as well? I believe there are also a couple of guinea pig, and chinchilla shops that make great toys that would be suitable for rabbits. Even some parrot toys are great for bunnies so you could look at those shops too

I get all my toys on Amazon and because they are mostly add on toys, make sure I always buy a little toy for my buns whenever I need to get something off there!

I bought them a cardboard castle today which is due to arrive tomorrow! So excited for this as they LOVE eating cardboard so I know they’ll love it! They also really like wicker balls, treat balls, bowling skittles (I have some plastic ones) and some cat toys and furniture 🙂 cardboard toilet roll tubes stuffed with hay are also good 🙂

I struggled to find any decent toys in my pet store too and think Amazon is the best option!

I usually make my toys. Toilet rolls are a favourite – apparently they are the best throw toy ever.

I sometimes buy cheap cat toys (my local cheap store sells a good range of cat chew toys which are basically just shapes pieces of cardboard and the rabbits love them too).

Every time I have an empty box the rabbits get it for a bit. Terry looks like he will be an even more avid climber than Ogg, so I’m going to have to stock up!

A box with some shredded paper makes a great digging toy!

Anything they aren’t supposed to have is lots of fun too – try leaving something expensive and important to you just out of reach and I promise they will have fun totally destroying it!
